Getting married in the near future? Then you have the chance to get a steal of a deal on a wedding dress if you act fast, thanks to the generosity of a local bridal shop.
A Carolina Wedding has donated 50 brand-new, never-worn dresses to Vintage Values, the thrift store that benefits Domestic Violence Shelter & Services. About half of the dresses remained for sale at the 609 Castle St. shop early this week, starting at $99. Their retail prices at the bridal shop were $500 to $800. The business was downsizing, clearing out discontinued dresses and brands it was no longer carrying. There are also plenty of shoes to match as well as bridesmaids’ and mother of the bride dresses.
Don’t expect them to be around too long, though. “Every time we put one in the window we sell it,” said Jan Lewis, store manager.
In addition to the bridal attire, the Castle Street store has many coats and formal party dresses, she added.
You’ll also find reasonable prices on clothing for everyone as well as household items, linens, books and jewelry at all three Vintage Values locations. The others are at 413 S. College Road and 5226 S. College Road. wedding dress
