Salma Hayek sure knows how to kick the romance factor up a few notches when wedding planning.

First of all, when she and hubby François-Henri Pinault took their second trip down the aisle this past weekend, they chose one of the most enchanting cities on earth as the backdrop: Venice, Italy.

Second, the pair kicked the weekend off with a masked ball for their rehearsal dinner, which was held at a palace that has recently been renovated as an art museum. Then, they said their vows at a local opera house - really, could you have dreamed up a more perfect fairy tale wedding?

And, of course, Hayek looked absolutely lovely in her Balenciaga wedding gown by Nicholas Ghesquiere, with its full skirt and v-neck jewel-encrusted bodice.

The actress' wedding hair consisted of a simple bun with a long veil and she carried a bouquet of orchids and stephanotis with crystals, People.com reports.

Among the 150 friends and family members who attended were Charlize Theron, Woody Harrelson, Bono, Vogue editor Anna Wintour and former French President Jacques Chirac.

It just makes you want to end the story with "…and they all lived happily ever after."
