An adventurous couple from New York City are making sure their wedding planning has an "out of this world" ambiance - literally.

Noah Fulmor and Erin Finnegan plan to indulge their life-long fascination with astronauts and outer space by saying their vows on a zero-gravity plane on June 20.

How does it work? Well, the logistics are a bit complex. A company called the Zero G Corporation has modified a plane so that it flies in a series of hills called parabolas - and passengers are basically weightless at the top of every hill.

Fulmor and Finnegan plan to complete their wedding bit by bit - in approximately five parabolas - and then edit the experience into a single coherent video. A handful of their friends will be on board with them, along with their officiant, Richard Garrett - a private space explorer.

"We hope that by having the first zero-gravity wedding, we can promote the new wave of private space travel and space tourism," the pair write on their blog.

To add to the space-age theme, the bride is planning to wear a unique wedding dress - featured at this year's fashion week in New York - that was specially designed by Eri Matsui to be worn in zero gravity.
