Celebs find Wedding dress sales a challenge
Tom Green was only trying to lighten the mood, but maybe he shouldn't have worn that wedding dress after all.
After a grueling day trying to outsell the women's team during a Celebrity Apprentice bridal challenge on Sunday, Green was subjected to some of the harshest words Donald Trump can utter: you're fired.
It wasn't as if the men completely failed at their goal of selling Wedding dress. At first, Green and his male teammates struggled to come up with a novel way to market the gowns, but finally Jesse James landed on a winner - Red Carpet sale. Because every bride wants to picture herself decked out in a designer dress that might be worn by an A-list celebrity, right?
But the girls' team, in particular Melissa Rivers, fought back by creating a fun and stylish Wedding dress-buying experience that was more likely to appeal to discerning brides-to-be.
She enlisted the help of her famous wedding-planning pal Preston Bailey to drum up buzz. Supplemented by champagne and cupcakes (the real way to a woman's heart?), the ladies sold 22 dresses, compared with the men's 21.
Although the two teams' sales were similar, the women raised oodles more money, so the boys lost again and Green was fired. And he probably didn't even get to keep the Wedding dress.
