Alfred Angelo reaches out to 'recessionistas'
Thrifty-yet-stylish brides, this could be your chance to snag a beautiful wedding dresses for less - or, if you're lucky, for free.
Alfred Angelo has jumped on the budget-conscious bandwagon and unveiled a new line of value-priced wedding gowns called the Recessionista collection.
There are nine new wedding dress styles in the collection, starting at $298 - with none of the designs priced any higher than $699.
Brides can choose from the designer's classic silhouettes such as fit and flare, mermaid, A-line and empire. Or, if you're feeling adventurous, try a two-piece pant ensemble.
"The current economic climate requires that we add a new dimension to our collection," said Amanda Sheronas, director of public relations at Alfred Angelo. "We want to be able to offer every bride an Alfred Angelo gown for her dream day."
Inexpensive wedding gown are one thing, but getting one completely free is even better.
In the spirit of giving, Alfred Angelo has also unveiled The Big Tip Off contest, in which one bride-to-be will win a "stimulus package" consisting of a gown, four bridesmaid dresses, a honeymoon and wedding bands. Submit a cost-cutting tip to the company's website to enter.
